Hi, I'm Joey from The First Congre. I joined Equipping to Teach (ETT) this year because I love exploring scripture and I think it's important to be able to understand a text and analyse it from the perspective of the author as well as the context that it's in. I really joined ETT in order to be able to grow in my skills to translate that understanding to others in Bible study context. Something that I really took away from ETT was the ability to condense a text and summarise it for what it's worth and to be able to craft a Bible study plan out of what we have. I really enjoyed the amount of the homework and the amount of readings was quite intense to be honest but I did enjoy that aspect because I think I learned a lot from that. Something else that made ETT enjoyable was really my group as well. I think the group was vivacious, was very personable, and we really had a lot of fun together, even though digging into a text was sometimes very difficult and quite tedious.

But yeah, that's the joy of teamwork and collaboration, I think. So I think if you are looking to explore the Bible in an in-depth and expository way, please join ETT. I think it's a very valuable learning experience and you really get to know people from your congres and across congregations in a way that's very memorable. So join ETT!
