Leading the Way: Gospel Fluency

  • Furama City Centre (map)

What Jesus has done for us -- bringing us from death to life, from darkness into light, from slavery to freedom -- should ultimately lead us into an intimate relationship with God that is full of wonder and adoration.

We all know that the gospel has the power to transform us and those we walk with; but when the rubber meets the road, it can be a struggle to connect the work of Christ to the everyday struggles of our/people’s lives, in a way that is rich, compelling and actually sounds like good news.

Applying the gospel is like a language that we become fluent in through practice, so there will be plenty of hands-on practice and role-playing in this highly interactive class.

We will help one another with:

  •  Leading people to understand all of life's peaks and valleys in the light of the magnificence of the Cross

  • Helping people see how Jesus gives a better answer to all of our longings

  • Not bypassing or glossing over the gospel in our leading and counsel; but camping and dwelling richly on Jesus' death and resurrection and its implications

  • Ultimately leading people to exalt Christ as beautiful and all- satisfying as we see the heart of the Father through the gospel.
