Our Leaders
The Bible is clear that godly leadership is important and critical to the health of the church (1 Tim 3:1-15, Titus 1:5). We believe the two leadership offices most clearly recognised by the Bible are the Elder and the Deacon. We also believe the need for the right people as part of our staff team to support our vision and mission.
Come and get to know our team of Elders, Deacons, and Staff.
Our Elders
The Elders are both Pastors and Overseers. The Elders are charged with the responsibility to safeguard sound doctrine (Titus 1:9); rule, care and manage the church (1 Tim 3:5, 5:17); commit themselves to the ministry of God's Word (1 Tim 5:17, Acts 6:4); shepherd the people in the church (1 Peter 5:2), and give an account to God for the spiritual state of the church (Heb 13:17).
Our Deacons
The deacons are godly and wise servants of good repute (Acts 6:1-7). They have to have a clear grasp of the gospel (1 Tim 3:8-13), and have the important duty of managing time-consuming practical matters so that the Elders can be freed up to spend more time in prayer and the Word. By their appointment, they help unite the church by pulling together the fraying ends of a community; and by their work, they can enhance the evangelistic mission of the church (Acts 6:1-7).
Our Staff
The men and women on our staff team are passionate about our local church and equipping the body for the work of ministry.
