God saves sinners through Christ’s death and resurrection. He transforms our lives so that we receive forgiveness as sinners, comfort as sufferers, and empowerment as saints. Therefore, we go to the gospel as our foundation and fuel for repentance and faith in every area of our lives. This looks like faithfully encouraging each other to remember what the gospel is so that we can respond to our sin, suffering, and identity as saints. Being a people who believe, apply and interpret all of life through the finished and ongoing work of Jesus, speaking the gospel in love to one another.

God makes Himself known through His Word. He reveals Himself to us deeply to delight in knowing Him and experience a soul-satisfying relationship. Therefore, we pursue a deep and personal understanding of the persons of God through the Bible. This looks like seeing theology as an essential means to deepen our relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through the study of His word.

God, through the Spirit, shepherds and guides us. He gifts us with His presence and is always with us. Therefore, we experience him by actively seeking the present-day work of the Spirit in our everyday lives, depending on and expecting Him to move in our midst, through the gifts He gives us. This looks like enjoying Him as we devote ourselves to prayer, Bible reading, worship, serving, giving, and other spiritual disciplines that help us individually and corporately to keep our faith thriving.

God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are seeking and saving the lost. He unites us, as a people who have received grace in Christ, to Himself and to one another. Therefore we make Christ known, as a community on mission who belong to Him, by loving and serving those inside and outside the church. This looks like pursuing relationships in and outside of the church in truth and love, engaging humbly and graciously, by pointing one another to God.

God is at work to redeem and restore the city we live in. He graciously invites and enables us to participate in His renewal of our city. Therefore, we go out to serve the city and proclaim the good news to the lost and hurting. This looks like renewing culture socially and spiritually by actively bringing the gospel to bear in our families, neighbours, communities, workplaces and in every sphere of influence to the glory of God.
