Reaching Out

Our vision at RHC is to spread a passion for God by making disciples of all nations through the gospe. We do this by primarily planting churches and supporting existing churches that we have built relationships with over years, as well as some other gospel projects. Below are some of the churches and organizations that we are supporting (in different ways). Support can include prayer, visiting them for teaching training relationship and encouragement, sharing resources, finances, etc.

Urban Design Church, Singapore – Andrew and Jessica Purchase

Urban Design Church is being planted by Andrew and Jess Purchase and a group of people from RHC who moved out to establish UDC in December 2010. Believing that the church is built with the eternal purposes of God in mind, they live to see people of our times come face to face with the God of eternity. As the first ever church plant of Redemption Hill Church, it’s our joy to see God’s kingdom being extended in Singapore through church planting. We are standing alongside them in this city, wanting to serve them in whatever way we can so that another strong biblical local church can exist in this city to see God’s purposes established.

Kampong Thom, Cambodia – Sokhon and Esther

Sokhon and Esther have been connected to RHC and people in RHC for years. Simon’s father Steve conducted their wedding ceremony in 2005 which was during in the same years after they planted a church in Kampong Thom, Cambodia. In 5 short years they have seen God do wonderful things through their ministry in that area. They have a strong church, an orphanage, are planting churches in conjunction with feeding programs into 16 surrounding villages, they have established a school in a village, and bible college for their pastors who travel to villages pastoring the new church plants.

They have two kids, Haddasseh and Christina We are supporting them in various ways, and will be taking teams to visit them on a regular basis.

Phnom Phen, Cambodia – Dave and Kasha Reed

Dave and Kascha Reed moved to Phnom Phen 5 years ago from Taiwan, to plant City Life Church. They have both worked as teachers, as well as taken lessons in Khmer (the local language) and set about planting the church for local Cambodians. With 2 small children (Gemma and Anina) they have pushed through some difficult times but have seen God’s faithfulness to them again and again. The church has grown well in the last year, and they recently rented a new church facility for their worship services, offices and some accomodation for students in the church.

RHC has helped them rent their facility, and will be sending teams as they need to help them in the great work they are doing in that nation.

Ulan Bataar, Mongolia – Boldo and Ganji

Boldo and Ganji started to lead the church in June 2009 after Rob and Bridget Forbes handed over leadership to them. Rob and Bridget moved to Mongolia in 1994 with their children to plant a local Mongolian church. They learnt the language, planted the church, and then started to work into other areas in Mongolia, sending church members to plant churches in those areas. After 15 years in Mongolia, they handed the leadership of the church to Boldo.

Connected to the church is the Kindergarten that Sandy Lauf from RHC established during the 5 years that she lived in Mongolia. It has an excellent standard of education that is proving to give children and advantage right the way through their school careers. It predominantly caters to the poorer famillies in the community and is heavily supported from outside Mongolia so that their work into the community can grow.

RHC will be sending teams to this church on a regular basis to help in various ways.

Restricted Asian Country – Bible translation

We are the primarily funders of the first stage of a bible translation project for a people group of 1 million people in a restricted Asian nation. We believe that the translation of God’s word into a nations mother tongue is one of the greatest priorities of the church today.
