Kingdom Kids

A vision for the Glory of God

Often in churches there is a word used to describe the kids ministry….
This is “something” – like, we should do “something” for the kids, we could plan “something” special. Often the main goal to have “something” for the kids is to keep the kids happy, parents free and or allow for church growth.

This is a wrong perspective. At RHC we believe it is important that we have a clear biblical vision for the next generation. Psalm 127:4 says that ” like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth.” If children are arrows, it means there is or should be target that we are aware of. Part of what we strive to do at Kingdom Kids is not just to teach our children about God, but to shepherd them towards Him so that we can help lead them to a meaningful relationship with Jesus.

We use a teaching syllabus from John Piper’s “Children Desiring God” series. This teaching material offers a God-Centered approach, helping the children see God at the centre of every story rather than just a good life lesson. We keep the lessons fun with some games, crafts or activities depending on the material for that week.
