Acts is the explosive account of the earliest days of the church, the real life demonstration of what happens when ordinary people are gripped by the gospel, brought into intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, and empowered by His Spirit. Some have suggested that it should be read by Christians every month, to stir our faith in a resurrected Christ who works through His church to transform the world.
When reading and studying the book, it’s vital to remember that this is not just a historical account meant to encourage us about what happened, but an ‘in our face’ reminder of what authentic Christianity looks like to those who are redeemed by Christ.
In January 2009 Redemption Hill Church spent 3 months looking at what the first chapters of the book of Acts taught us about the gospel and the church. We hope you enjoy it!
